Roe Seafood - Restaurant

Roe is a fun project that stands out to me. This happened to be a freelance project. A client of mine wanted a logo designed for a restaurant in Long Beach.
The restaurant is named Roe Seafood. I did not have much to go on. First, I did some research what kind of food the restaurant served. Then, I researched what the word “roe” meant. In Japanese, roe means salmon fish eggs. Roe Seafood is a mid/upscale restaurant that serves: Seafood, Steak, Chicken and Sushi. I created a couple of logo comps to choose from. The one that all five owners picked is the one I liked the most. The logo was just the word “Roe” with reversed orange circles surrounding the word. The orange circles represent salmon eggs. And that is part of the menu.

 

This was fun; because, it was challenging and it led to other projects for Roe Seafood. Projects, such as: Business Cards, Outdoor Signs, Logo for Roe Xpress (their takeout restaurant), Menus, Menu Signs, Door Hangers and Marketing Collateral.
